| Product Overview |
The Fully Sheeted Sheep Handling Race is a professional livestock handling system designed to provide a controlled single-file passage for drafting, weighing, identification, vaccination, drenching, inspection and routine flock management. Unlike open-rail races, the solid side panels reduce visual distractions and help prevent goat-farming-equipment/" target="_blank" class="keylink">sheep from extending their heads or legs through the side structure. This improves containment and can encourage smoother forward movement through the race. The system is manufactured around a durable steel frame and can be supplied with hot-dip galvanized protection for long-term agricultural use. Safe-edged sheet construction and reinforced joints are particularly suitable for high-frequency commercial livestock handling environments. The race can be combined with guillotine gates, drafting gates, race joiners, weighing equipment, EID readers, foot baths and holding pens to create a complete sheep handling facility for commercial farms and agricultural engineering projects. |

| Working Principle / Structural Principle |
The race forms a narrow livestock passage between two fully sheeted side structures. Sheep enter from a holding or forcing area and are guided forward toward the handling, weighing or drafting station. The solid side panels restrict lateral vision and reduce opportunities for animals to interact with livestock outside the race. This can improve forward movement and reduce turning or hesitation. Entrance, stop and drafting gates control livestock flow through the system, allowing individual sheep or groups to be separated according to treatment, weight, identification or management requirements. |

| Installation & Maintenance |
For portable systems, the sheeted hurdles are positioned along the planned livestock route and connected using race joiners, pins or ground stakes. The race should be aligned with the forcing area and exit gate to encourage continuous livestock flow. Permanent installations can use dedicated support posts or engineered anchoring systems. Posts are recommended where the handling race will remain in a fixed location or experience frequent high-volume use. Inspect panel connections, sheet edges, hinges, gate mechanisms and galvanized surfaces regularly. Remove manure and dirt accumulation, keep moving components unobstructed and replace damaged fasteners or sheet sections when necessary. |

| Project Cases |
A typical commercial sheep race can combine fully sheeted side panels with a guillotine entrance gate, race joiner and draft or stop gate. Holding pens positioned ahead of the race provide continuous livestock supply while exit pens separate processed animals. Large-scale farm projects can integrate the sheeted race with electronic weighing systems, EID readers, multi-way drafting gates and veterinary treatment equipment to create a complete sheep processing line. |
